The Deluxe Payment Network (DPN) streamlines the delivery of check payments by digitally connecting high-volume B2B payers with digital lockboxes. DPN lets payors deliver checks electronically instead of printing, stuffing and mailing envelopes. It’s a change that reduces postage, handling and, increasingly, check washing scams that have proliferated in the U.S. mail. This benefit comes without requiring payees to change anything in their existing lockbox workflows.

Deluxe recently acquired CheckMatch from Kinexys by J.P. Morgan, to expand the network and enable faster electronic delivery. Once combined, DPN will connect major U.S. lockbox processors, multiple bill pay hubs and accounts payable (AP) automation platforms.

Replacing mail with electronic files makes it easier to manage outbound cash flow. Treasurers can hold cash longer, know the exact settlement date, and reconcile payments automatically because remittance data travels with the payment.
