Measurements in reports and dashboards are merely stovepipe snapshots of the past. Informative but without insights that impact decision-making. Change to do something different is a-kin to pushing a boulder up hill, as people are encrusted in sclerotic processes and spreadsheet reports. Without unbiased analytics predictions of the future to give insights, the business is blind to knowing where to act and the impact of the action.
As such, there needs to be a better way to gain reporting for management decisions that mitigates risk and improves performance – and there is! To do such will require three ingredients of (1) Mindset, (2) People, and (3) Tools.
You need the Mindset to commit to change. People (business analysts and managers) who are curious to find insights in data that can change the trajectory of performance. And, analytics Tools that can enable curious People to find the insights to know where to act.
To future-proof business, there is a new generation of AI-Enabled analytics tools that go beyond spreadsheets, BI, and data visualization to deep dive into data to find patterns and make more accurate forecasts and predictions.
